We are a GO for 2021

Hi All,

In less than a week, I’ve heard back from 24 owners who want to play again in 2021, and there are still more who might be back. So, I will start pulling things together and send an email with payment info, etc.

If you know of friends or family who might be interested in playing this year, there is always room for more. Send me an email address or best contact info and I’ll be happy to reach out to them.

One month until the season starts. Can’t wait.

Are You Ready for the 2021 Season?

The NFL is getting ready to kickoff a new season. One with 17 games over an 18-week season.

I’m planning to send an email out to the league early next week, but this is a test.

If you see this message, and want to play Fantasy Football in 2021, please send me an email.

Otherwise, watch for the official email next week.

Heather Wins Week 17, Andrew Crowned Champ

Believe it or not, through pandemic, injuries and benchings, somehow the NFL navigated a 17-game regular season. Phew!!!

The final week belongs to Heather, who posted a 499 thanks to a lineup led by L. Jackson, Hurts, Henry, Taylor, Wilson, A. Brown, Diggs, A. Brown, Waller and the Ravens D.

Kerry and I tied for second, with a 491, thanks to identical rosters featuring Watson, Hurts, Henry, Taylor, Wilson, Mattison, Adams, Diggs, C. Samuel, Waller, Gay and the Ravens D.

While she’s come in second two times this season, this is Heather‘s first weekly win in her four seasons playing in the league. Congrats!!! Kerry and I have enjoyed multiple paydays this season. Congrats to Heather and Kerry on the strong showing to end the 2020 campaign.

The Leaderboard:

We crowned a first-time champion in 2020. Congratulations to Andrew  who took the lead in Week 7 and held on for the remaining 10 weeks of the season.  Andrew first played in the league in 1998, so this has been 22 years in the making. Congratulations Andrew on a breakthrough performance.

Mike Edges David to Claim Week 16

Mike posted a 450 to win Week 16, thanks to a lineup led by Rodgers, Hurts, A. Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Fournette, Adams, Diggs, Kelce and Gay.

It’s Mike‘s second weekly win of the season, and David‘s second pay day of the 2020 campaign. Congrats to both on the strong showing in Week 16.

A total of 12 owners played Hurts as a write-in or wild card. His 60 points outscored everyone in play and won the last 100-point bonus of the season. (The bonus is only 50 points the last two weeks of the season.) All of the folks on the leaderboard played Hurts, including Heather, who earned her second 100-point bonus of the year.

TroyA Wins Clash of the Titans

What a crazy, high-scoring week. We had six owners score more than 400 points in Week 14, and all but one of them (Andrew) is a former league champion. And of those six, five of them are in the Top 10 for 2020, including four in the money spots.

In the end, TroyA scored the highest result of the season to date (498) to best the field, thanks to a dominating lineup led by Rodgers, Carr, Henry, J. Taylor, McKissick, M. Davis, Adams, Kelce, Hopkins and Seahawks D.

Major took second, scoring a 444 , thanks to a roster featuring Mahomes, Trubisky, Henry, J. Taylor, McKissick, Davis, T. Hill, Diggs, and Kelce.

This is TroyA‘s second weekly win in three weeks, and Major‘s fourth payday of the 2020 season. Congrats to both owners for their Week 14 dominance.

Kudos to rookie owner Liam who just missed a 400-point effort, finishing with a 399.

The Leaderboard:
Andrew‘s withstood the high-scoring frenzy this week, by topping 400 himself. Major, TroyA and myself moved up the leaderboard, while Heather took a tumble and Eric fell just outside the money spots.

Week 13 Proves Lucky for Mike & Heather

Mike found Week 13 lucky, as he posted a 398 to win the week. Mike‘s lineup was led by Rodgers, Cousins, Cook, Montgomery, Adams, Jefferson, Kelce, Koo and the Packers D.

We had a rare tie for second place, as RandyH and Andrew fought to a draw, both scoring 381. Randy‘s squad was led by Mahomes, Carr, Cook, Montgomery, Metcalf, Landry, D. Johnson, Kelce, Koo and the Dolphins D.
Andrew‘s featured Mahomes, Cousins, Cook, Hunt, Adams, Diggs, Samuel, Kelce, Koo and the Dolphins D. They both played Gay as their wildcard, so it ended tied.

This is Mike‘s first weekly win since Week 6 of 2018, and Randy‘s first pay day since Week 11 of 2018, and Andrew‘s second pay day of this campaign. Congrats to Mike, Randy and Andrew on the strong Week 13 showing.

A handful of owners, including Jake, SteveB and Mike recorded their highest scores of the season this week.

Finally, kudos to Heather, who selected C. Davis from Tennessee as her wild card, and wound up having him outscore all other players in play, earning her the coveted (and rare) 100-point bonus! More on that in a moment.

The Leaderboard:
Andrew‘s strong showing helped him maintain his hold atop the leaderboard, but Heather’s bonus catapults her to second place, fast on Andrew‘s heels. Eric and I each dropped a place, while Major leap frogged TroyA.

Andrew (3560)
Heather. (3533)
JohnK. (3480)
Eric (3456)

Give Thanks, Week 12 is Finally in the Books

Week 12, the longest week in NFL history, is finally in the books, and a familiar name won the week.

TroyA pulled out a 427, to win the marathon week, thanks to a lineup featuring J. Allen, Fitzpatrick, Gibson, Gallman, Hines, T. Hill, Parker, Kelce, Hopkins and the Steelers D.

JohnS took second, with a 425, with a roster led by Mahomes, Cousins, Gallman, T. Hill, Kelce, Gay and the Steelers D.

This is TroyA‘s first weekly win since Week 14 last season, and JohnS‘ first pay day ever. Congratulations to both owners on the strong showing in Week 12.

We had five owners total (Kerry (411), Kim (409) and Eric (405) top 400 points this week. Kudos to all of you.

Then consider the odd case of my cousin David, who scored a 349, his second best score of the season — good enough to finish in the Top 10 this week — and still winds up third in his own household behind his son JohnS and wife Kerry. It’s been a tough year for David, whose Cowboys aren’t exactly lighting things up on the field.

It was a good (pro) football weekend for Jessica. David Claims Low-Scoring Week

Bad weather and unsung heroes led to a low-scoring Week 10, but that didn’t stop my cousin David from prevailing, with a 321. David‘s team was led by Murray, Goff, Kamara, Gibson, Hopkins, Diggs, Claypool, and Lutz.
