Week 3 Proves CraigS Still Got It

Every week when he sends in his lineup, CraigS (league champion 2001) likes to remind me he “used to be good” at fantasy football. This week, he recaptured his ol’ magic, posting a 463 to win the week, with a lineup led by L. Jackson, Fitzpatrick, Kamara, J. Robinson, McKinnon, Hopkins, Ridley, Lazard, and the Colts D.

My team took second with a 441, thanks to a team featuring Mahomes, Kamara, Robinson, McKinnon, Hopkins, Lockett, Kelce, and Tucker.

Honorable mention to Andrew (434) and Major (407), who both scored over 400 points in Week 3.

This is CraigS’ first weekly win since Week 2 of 2019, and my first payday since Week 8 a year ago. Congrats to CraigS on the strong showing this week.

We added a 29th owner in Week 3. Welcome back to JohnS, who is returning to the league after taking a season off. Great to have you back.

Reminder:
Overall standings will debut next week.
Week 4 is also the final week of the first playlist.

Housekeeping:

We have 29 owners so far. If you know someone who might like to play, it’s not too late to invite them, and with 30 owners we would add one more pay out spot.

Thanks to everyone who has sent payment already. I’m waiting on payment from five owners. $30 covers your initial lineup and first 50 trades.

Looking Ahead:

That’s it for Week 3. Please double check my work and let me know if you see any scoring errors.

Week 4 kicks off Thursday with Denver Broncos at  New York Jets

Stay safe and well.

Good luck to all in Week 4.

Major Statement in Week 2

A former league champion, Major (2016), posted a 403 to win Week 2, thanks to a lineup featuring Mahomes, Newton, McCaffery, Conner, Hunt, Hopkins, K. Allen, Edelman, Kelce and Butker.

Honorable mention to Heather, who has finished second and third in the first two weeks of the season. Her roster this week featured Mahomes, Newton, McCaffery, Taylor, Hunt, Ridley, Kelce, and Butker.

This is Major‘s first win since Week 12 of 2017, and Brenda‘s first pay day since Week 4 of 2016. Congrats to Major and Brenda on their strong showing.

Michael Wins 2020 Debut

Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books, and for most of us, it looks like we could have used a preseason. But not Michael. His team scored 354 and won the week going away, thanks to a lineup featuring L. Jackson, Newton, Jacobs, Mostert, Godwin, Andrews, Koo and the Ravens D.

Heather was another one of the few owners to exceed 300 points. Her roster scored 313, led by Mahomes, Newton, McCaffery, Hunt, Ridley, M. Brown, Kelce and the Patriots D.

Congrats to Michael on his first weekly win since Week 12 of 2018, and Heather‘s first pay day since Week 10 of last season.

I had one owner suggest that we should spotlight lowest scores of the week, but I think most of us would like to forget about Week 1. Just another reminder that everything changes quickly in the NFL.

Reminder: Overall standings will debut in Week 4.

Housekeeping for 2020 Fantasy Football Season

Well, the non-preseason is over, the teams have cut down to their 53-man rosters, and we are five days away from the kickoff of the 2020 NFL season.

The Houston Texans open at Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, Sept. 10. That’s also the start of a new fantasy football season.

You can check out the new play list for Weeks 1-4 and submit your lineup for Week 1.

Entry fee is $30 for an opening lineup and the first 50 trades of the season.

I’ll send an email to everyone as well, with how to send payment.
