Turns out the week was won by the time Sunday’s action was in the books and for the first time in his three seasons in the league, Chad earns weekly bragging rights.
Chad scored a 366, thanks to a lineup led by Allen, Shough, Gibbs, Warren, D. Samuel, Smith-Njigba, McBride, Boswell and the Jaguars D.

Runner up in Week 3 is Tom, the second-longest tenured owner in the league, who popped a 359 thanks to a team featuring Allen, Shough, Gibbs, K. Williams, Hubbard, D. Samuel, Smith-Njigba, and Washington.

This is Chad‘s first win ever and Tom‘s first payday since Week 16 of last season. Congrats to both for their strong showing this week.

Rookie Report:

Good luck to all in Week 4.

By Sunday Night, Kim had a lead that proved insurmountable. Kim posted a 346 to win the week, thanks to a lineup led by Allen, Stroud, Walker, Smith-Njigba, Kincaid, and Aubrey.

This week’s runner-up is Jake, who scored a 324 thanks to a lineup featuring Allen, Gibbs, Smith-Njigba, Kincaid, McPherson and the Seahawks D.

This is Kim‘s first weekly win since Week 1 of the 2022 season and Jake‘s first payday since Week 15 of the 2018 campaign. Long overdue Jake. Congrats to both Kim and Jake for their strong showing this week. It’s nice to see two long-time owners get back into the win column after an extended stretch.

Rookie Report:

In Week 2, our true rookie, Tao, earns bragging rights with a 252, to top StaceyK (198) and GregK (186). It is worth noting that both Greg and Stacey stuck with their BYU guy Nacua, and had a little serendipity when their wildcard WRs came into play in place of the injured Rams star. Congrats to Tao for his Week 2 showing, as Tao and StaceyK each have a rookie weekly win on the young season.

In 32 seasons, we have had 18 different owners crowned league champion. In 2025, we have eight former league champions playing, including

Since joining the league in 2002. Eric has taken 8th once (2004), fifth two times  (’05 and ’20), fourth five times (’09, ’10, ’12, ’14, ’23), finished third three times (’11, ’15, ’21) and placed second a record nine times (’02, ’03, ’06, ’07, ’08, ’13, ’16, ’22, ’25).

He’s only finished out of the money three times (2017-2019). Pretty impressive.  And one of these seasons, I believe he will finally claim the ultimate prize.

During the past offseason, one of our owners, Trenton, proposed to another owner, Christina. So it’s fair to say Trenton is engaged in more ways than one.
So in his first week back since popping the question, he popped a 382 to win the week, thanks to lineup led by L. Jackson, Lawrence, Gibbs, J. Williams, Flowers, Watson, McBride and Jags D. (His lovely bride-to-be had a very respectable 290 to open the season.)

Former league champ CraigS (2001) showed why he is a perrennial powerhouse, opening the new campaign with a 378 to take second. His lineup featured L. Jackson, Lawrence, Gibbs, J. Williams, Flowers, Golden, McBride and Steelers D.

This is Trent‘s first weekly win since Week 15 of 2023 and CraigS first prize money since Week 14 of last season. In a strange coincidence, last year Craig opened the season with a weekly win, with Trent as runnerup. Congrats to both for their strong showing this week.

Rookie Report:

Each season, we welcome new owners to the league. As of Week 1, we have one true rookie (Tao) and two owners who haven’t played in a long, long time, and when they last did, they were joint owners of Greg and Stacey. So please give a warm welcome to our 2026 rookie class of GregK, StaceyK and Tao.

One week from today, the NFL kicks off with its first full Sunday of action.

Which means, JohnK’s Fantasy Football is also right around the corner.

Attached is the first play list for 2026. 

(I reserve the right to tweak the play list between now and kickoff of the Patriots/Seahawks game in the event of a last-minute injury or roster development.)

Speaking of which, Josh Jacobs is on the commissioner’s exempt list. If he is reinstated during the first four weeks of the NFL season, I’ll place him in Box C.

Owners:

There are still a handful of owners from last season I have not heard from, but as of right now, I have a firm commitment from 32 owners. I’d love to see that number reach 35, because then we’d add a seventh pay out position for the season.

The final week of the NFL season was full of underperforming efforts, and one dominant showing.

Dennis avoided the pitfalls to score a 369, thanks to a lineup led by Burrow, Lawrence, Tracy, Estime, Chase, Washington, Fairbairn, and the Vikings D.

Runner up is Trent, who edged TroyA and RandyH with the SNF game, thanks to a lineup featuring Burrow, Lawrence, Stevenson, Nacua and Flowers.

This is Dennis‘ second weekly win of the year, and Trent‘s second payday of the season. Congrats to both Dennis and Trent on their strong finish to the 2025 campaign.

Congratulations to Andrew, who won the 2025 league title, his second in six seasons.

What a wild and wacky finish to Week 17. Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua posted substandard performances on Monday night, and as a result, TroyA scored his best total of the season, to edge Kerry for the weekly win.

TroyA hit 411, thanks to a lineup led by Burrow, Purdy, McCaffery, Crosskey-Merritt, Nacua, Burden, McBride, Aubrey and the Broncos D.

Kerry popped a 396, with a lineup featuring Maye, Purdy, McCaffery, Crosskey-Merritt, Nacua, Olave, McBride, Aubrey and the Broncos D.

Nacua’s relatively low score, allowed Burden to come into play on TroyA‘s lineup, boosting him past Kerry and earning bonus points as well.

This is TroyA’s first weekly win since Week 5 last season, and Kerry‘s first pay day since Week 8 last year, a season that saw her claim three runner-up prizes for the year. Congrats to both TroyA and Kerry, two former league champs who are consistently near the top of the leaderboard every season.

Speaking of league champs, this week’s third-place finisher, Andrew (384), may have put the title out of reach.

The top five spots on the leaderboard remained unchanged, but TroyA’s big week may have Michael looking over his shoulder headed into the final week. Andrew and Eric may have sealed their one-two finish with this week’s performances. The drama this week was Kerry was able to leap ahead of CarlP to claim the last money spot, but a mere eight points is all that separates them.

It was a good night, and a strong finish for CarlP, who saw his Steelers win on Monday night, and Gainwell’s strong night delivered him a weekly win.

Carl‘s team scored a 386 and was led by Allen, Purdy, J. Williams, Gainwell, Corum, Smith-Njigba, Olave, McBride, and Myers.

Our runner up in Week 15 was Beth, whose lineup featured Allen, Lawrence, J. Williams, Gainwell, Corum, Chase, McLaurin, Kittle, and Aubrey to score a 373 and edge Eric.
