Give Thanks, Week 12 is Finally in the Books

Week 12, the longest week in NFL history, is finally in the books, and a familiar name won the week.

TroyA pulled out a 427, to win the marathon week, thanks to a lineup featuring J. Allen, Fitzpatrick, Gibson, Gallman, Hines, T. Hill, Parker, Kelce, Hopkins and the Steelers D.

JohnS took second, with a 425, with a roster led by Mahomes, Cousins, Gallman, T. Hill, Kelce, Gay and the Steelers D.

This is TroyA‘s first weekly win since Week 14 last season, and JohnS‘ first pay day ever. Congratulations to both owners on the strong showing in Week 12.

We had five owners total (Kerry (411), Kim (409) and Eric (405) top 400 points this week. Kudos to all of you.

Then consider the odd case of my cousin David, who scored a 349, his second best score of the season — good enough to finish in the Top 10 this week — and still winds up third in his own household behind his son JohnS and wife Kerry. It’s been a tough year for David, whose Cowboys aren’t exactly lighting things up on the field.

The Leaderboard:
The high scores also had an impact on the leaderboard, as things suddenly got a lot tighter at the top. And look who is suddenly back in the conversation?

Jessica Edges DaveT By A Point

It was a good (pro) football weekend for Jessica. Monster Week Leads to Week 8 Win

Every week when I send out our weekly lineups, I hope it might be necessary to validate that I really won the week. After a six-season drought, it finally proved relevant.

I scored a 443, thanks to a lineup led by Mahomes, Herbert, Henry, J. Williams, Metcalf, K. Allen, Fulgham, Kelce, Santos and the Chiefs D.

Major continues to be the epitome of consistency this season, putting up 418 points to take second, with a roster featuring Mahomes, Herbert, Kamara, Williams, Adams, K. Allen, Higgins, Kelce and Santos.

This is my first weekly win since Week 12 of the 2014 season, and Major‘s third pay day of this season, and fourth week he scored 400+ points. Talk about consistency. Congrats to Major on another strong showing.

Honorable mention to the brothers Trent (407) and CraigW (406) who both scored north of 400, and earned bragging rights over their dad Tom (340).

And kudos to JohnS (366), who bested both his mom (Kerry (358)) and dad (David(344)) to earn bragging rights in the house this week. Youth was served in Week 8.

Housekeeping:

We have 29 owners so far. If you know someone who might like to play, it’s not too late to invite them, and with 30 owners we would add one more pay out spot.

Thanks to everyone who has sent payment already. I’m waiting on payment from four owners. $30 covers your initial lineup and first 50 trades.

Thanks to Nigel and JohnS for sending payment this week.

New Playlist for Weeks 5-9

Week 5 ushers in a new playlist. Just a reminder that you are not charged a trade for any moves forced by a player changing box assignments.

Please note in Box C, I reserve the right to reinstate Nick Chubb or Austin Ekeler if they recover from their injuries prior to Week 10.

Looking Ahead:

Well, despite the COVID-19 disruption, we survived Week 4. Please double check my work and let me know if you see any scoring errors.

Week 5 kicks off Thursday with Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Chicago Bears

Bye Week: Green Bay/Detroit

Stay safe and well.

Good luck to all in Week 5.

Week 3 Proves CraigS Still Got It

Every week when he sends in his lineup, CraigS (league champion 2001) likes to remind me he “used to be good” at fantasy football. This week, he recaptured his ol’ magic, posting a 463 to win the week, with a lineup led by L. Jackson, Fitzpatrick, Kamara, J. Robinson, McKinnon, Hopkins, Ridley, Lazard, and the Colts D.

My team took second with a 441, thanks to a team featuring Mahomes, Kamara, Robinson, McKinnon, Hopkins, Lockett, Kelce, and Tucker.

Honorable mention to Andrew (434) and Major (407), who both scored over 400 points in Week 3.

This is CraigS’ first weekly win since Week 2 of 2019, and my first payday since Week 8 a year ago. Congrats to CraigS on the strong showing this week.

We added a 29th owner in Week 3. Welcome back to JohnS, who is returning to the league after taking a season off. Great to have you back.

Reminder:
Overall standings will debut next week.
Week 4 is also the final week of the first playlist.
